Okay, so I'm old. I remember rotary dial phones and black-and-white TVs with vacuum tubes. I read hard copy books. I will sit down to watch a TV show or movie all the way through, with minimal interruptions. One of my favorite things as a kid was staying up to watch the late night fright shows with their cheesy horror hosts. I've seen Forbidden Planet dozens of times. I think Creature From the Black Lagoon and The Masque of the Red Death (1964) are two of the most beautiful, poetic genre movies ever made.
