The Living Daylight Stringband is a five-piece old time band based in Toronto, Canada. With two fiddles, a banjo, guitar, and upright bass, the sound is full-bodied and muscular, knocking out raucous tunes and singing long-life songs with rich and varied vocal harmonies. The LDSB plays to find each other in the music, to share and to celebrate the rhythms and melodies of this rich folk tradition. Rosalyn Dennett, fiddle, guitar and vocals - Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Rosalyn had toured extensively with her former award-winning project, Oh My Darling, before joining LDSB. Deeply immersed in the Appalachian fiddle tradition, she is equally adept on guitar and banjo. Tessa Jones, guitar and vocals - Tessa's thumb-stroke guitar style and spectacular voice are distinguishing features of the band's sound. She is currently sharing her time between Toronto and New York, writing original songs and bringing new life to old gems. Sarah Hamilton, bass, fiddle and vocals - Multi-instrumentalist Sarah has been touring the world, playing old time country and bluegrass, since the age of 14. From Whitehorse, Yukon, she has played fiddle with Done Gone Stringband and is currently fiddling with Annie Lou and Combo Royale. Kim Sedore, banjo and vocals - From Uxbridge, Ontario, Kim's unique voice lends itself just as well to old time as to her own songs which she performs as Kimberley & The Collect Callers. Before founding LDSB, Kim had been playing banjo with Makita Hack & The Log Rollers, a Toronto institution. Kathleen Fournier-Law, fiddle and vocals - From Ottawa, Ontario, Kathleen picked up old time and bluegrass fiddling in Victoria, BC, before establishing herself in Toronto. After a stint with country band The Bandits and a year of jazz studies with Drew Jurecka, she started fiddling with LDSB.
