Manager, Kasirer Family Office
he/his/him · Los Angeles, California, United States

Robert Kasirer is the manager of a family office where he helped build a national real estate investment and management company with a diversified portfolio across 12 states. He also serves as president of his family foundation and remains active in philanthropy. His charitable work focuses mainly on education and Jewish causes, supporting universities, schools, camps, campus organizations, religious institutions, and community programs that help strengthen learning, identity, and connection across generations. Robert founded two nonprofit organizations in 2022, one in the United States and one in Israel, to develop a digital platform and app for Jewish life. The platform brings together music, learning, prayer, podcasts, videos, and short interactive experiences in one accessible space. It is designed for both individuals and communities, while also allowing organizations, schools, synagogues, camps, campus groups, and creators to share their own content within customized spaces. Kasirer is the son of Holocaust survivors, and his family history deeply shaped his values and sense of responsibility. His mother was imprisoned in a concentration camp, while his father was sent to a forced labor camp. Many members of their family were killed during the Holocaust. His parents came from a small village in the Carpathian Mountains, and after his father's death, he began working at a young age. Robert Kasirer was born in Austria after his parents were liberated, married, and waited for permission to immigrate to the United States. He and one of his sisters were born there before the family later settled in Los Angeles, where another sister was born. His parents were devoted to rebuilding Jewish life and helped establish schools, religious institutions, and community spaces at a time when local Jewish educational options were limited. Robert grew up with the belief that Jewish memory, learning, and identity must be preserved with care and purpose. His parents wanted the loss of six million Jews during the Holocaust to be remembered through continued commitment to Jewish life. That mission became part of his own foundation. As a teenager, he attended a Jewish boarding school in New York, where he studied both secular subjects and Jewish learning, continuing those studies during college. Kasirer attended university in New York and later completed law school before passing the state bar. He began his professional career as an attorney and helped form a law firm with colleagues, focusing on public finance work connected to major financing projects across the country. He later served with another law firm before joining his father in business. Together, they developed, owned, and operated commercial real estate properties, especially shopping centers in Los Angeles. Robert Kasirer continued to grow the family's real estate company after his father's passing in 2005. Over time, his two sons and son-in-law joined the family office and its related businesses, eventually taking leadership roles in daily operations while he served as chairman. His professional path reflects both legal and business experience, along with a long-standing commitment to building stable institutions that can serve future generations. Robert created the digital Jewish platform as an extension of the values he inherited from his parents and carried throughout his life. He believes each generation must find meaningful ways to keep Jewish life active and relevant. For him, technology can help people connect with tradition, community, and learning, especially younger Jews who may feel distant from traditional institutions. His goal is to support Jewish engagement through tools that are accessible, welcoming, and useful. Robert Kasirer has been married to his wife for 48 years. Together, they have four children and 13 grandchildren, including 7 boys and 6 girls. Outside his professional and philanthropic work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling. Through travel, he appreciates the traditions, cultures, and natural beauty of different countries. His personal life reflects a focus on family, heritage, learning, and meaningful connections across communities.
